About Regina Clemente
I have a lot of identities - daughter, partner, queer, Sicilian-American, Capricorn, Dodgers-fan, cat-lover - and at my core, I am an organizer. I started organizing friends in high school around gun safety after someone was shot on our campus in 1998. And, I haven’t been able to stop.
Since getting my degree in Urban and Environmental Policy from Occidental College, I have spent the last 2 decades plus building and leading teams at organizations such as ACCE (when it was ACORN), Planned Parenthood Los Angeles, South L.A. Healthy Housing Collaborative, the L.A. LGBT Center/Proposition 8 Campaign, Freedom to Marry, Brave New Films, and Deploy/US,.
For the last 8 years I served in multiple leadership roles at Movement Voter Project, where I helped take the organization from raising $14 million a political cycle to more than $120 million a cycle. From 2018 through 2020, I served as MVP’s managing director, helping to build the foundation of the organization. In 2021, I created a new strategy lane, launching and running the Western Rural and Plains States Project. This expanded MVP’s model deeper into 10 predominantly red, rural states that traditionally receive far less funding and organizing support. From 2024 - 2026, I built and directed the largest volunteer donor organizing program in the country, where we raised over $20 million in two years through both local hubs and a distributed national network - and a whole lot of house parties and asks!
I thrive on supporting individuals and teams - both remotely and side-by-side - in the development, implementation, and evaluation of:
Base-building and relational organizing;
Community, legislative, and electoral organizing campaigns;
Social impact fundraising, including donor organizing and donor advising;
Deep conversation programs for persuasion and mobilization;
Grassroots messaging research;
Documentary film production;
Managing diverse teams to achieve ambitious goals;
General project management.
So, if you are looking for veteran support in any of these areas, let’s schedule a discovery call to learn more about your campaign or project!
